Warranty Coverage
OPED provides a limited manufacturer warranty to the first purchaser who is the original end user. Coverage applies to qualifying material defects resulting from inferior materials or poor workmanship.
OPED describes its general product coverage as 12 months of shelf life from the date of delivery, including up to 12 weeks of actual product use.
Normal wear of the outsole, accidental damage, punctures, improper cleaning, misuse, exposure to unsuitable surfaces, unauthorized alteration and damage caused by incorrect sizing or application are not considered manufacturing defects.
Keep your Physio Store order information and contact us promptly if you believe the rain cover has a manufacturing defect. We will help review the concern and coordinate the applicable manufacturer warranty process.
Return Policy
5-Day Return Window. Returns are accepted within 5 days of delivery for items that remain new and unopened.
Unopened condition required. Security seals must remain intact and packaging must not be opened. Items must be returned in original, unused condition for full product credit.
All law labels, identification labels, instructions, and original packaging must remain attached and undamaged. Please pack returns carefully in a secondary shipping box to prevent damage in transit.
If an item is returned opened, used, or not in resellable condition, the return will not be accepted. You will be contacted regarding return shipping fees to have the item shipped back to you.
If we do not receive instructions regarding return shipment within 30 days, you authorize us to dispose of the item on your behalf.
International orders are final sale. Orders shipped outside of Canada are not eligible for return or exchange.

Outdoor Weather Protection for Your OPED Walking Boot
The OPED Full-Sole Rain Cover helps keep a VACOped, VACOcast or compatible lower-leg orthosis cleaner and drier when walking outdoors in rain, mud, slush or light snow. The HULL-01-3 design encloses the entire boot, including its original walking sole.
Confirmed HULL-01-3 Full-Sole Design
This is the version with its own profiled walking outsole. It is different from the open-bottom rain guard shown on some North American OPED pages. The stocked Physio Store version pulls completely over the orthosis so the rain cover’s outsole contacts the ground.
What Does the OPED Rain Cover Protect?
Walking boots and fracture orthoses can collect water, road salt, mud and debris when they are worn outdoors. The OPED Rain Cover acts like a reusable overshoe, creating a protective outer layer around the shell and walking sole.
The upper is made from water-repellent polyester with covered seams. A wide hook-and-loop closure and elastic opening help the cover fit around the lower leg, while the integrated outsole provides a defined walking surface.

Outdoor Weather Cover—not a Shower Protector
The OPED Rain Cover is intended for short periods of outdoor walking in wet or dirty conditions. It is not a watertight bathing bag and must not be used for showering, bathing, swimming, standing water or immersion.

Size the Cover from the Boot—not Your Regular Shoe
If your VACOped or VACOcast is Medium, order a Medium rain cover. Do not select the cover solely from the size of the shoe worn on your other foot. Contact us before ordering if the OPED size marking cannot be found.
How to Put the Rain Cover Over a Walking Boot
- Sit in a stable chair before applying the cover.
- Make sure the orthosis is correctly fitted and all boot straps are secured.
- Open the rain cover’s wide hook-and-loop closure.
- Pull the front of the cover over the toe of the orthosis.
- Work the cover around the heel and over the entire walking sole.
- Pull the upper section around the orthosis and lower leg.
- Secure the hook-and-loop closure without placing excessive pressure on the leg.
- Check that the integrated outsole is flat, centred and free of folds before standing.
- Stand carefully and test stability before beginning to walk.
Apply and remove the cover while seated whenever possible. Do not attempt to balance on the injured leg while pulling the cover over the boot.

Wet and Icy Surfaces Still Require Caution
The profiled outsole helps provide a defined walking surface, but no tread can eliminate slipping. Take short, controlled steps and avoid ice, deep snow, standing water, steep slopes and unusually slippery surfaces. Continue using prescribed crutches or other mobility aids.
Cleaning and Drying the Rain Cover
- Remove loose mud and debris after each use.
- Wipe the upper and outsole with a damp cloth as needed.
- Open the closure and allow the cover to air-dry completely.
- Do not place a damp cover against the orthosis for storage.
- Keep the cover away from direct heat sources.
- Inspect the outsole, seams, elastic and closure regularly for damage or excessive wear.
Allow the cover to dry naturally in the same way you would dry a wet umbrella. Replace it if the outsole becomes damaged or the cover no longer stays securely positioned.
