Yes. It is designed for hydrocollator use and can remain fully submerged in properly maintained hot water bath systems.

How long does the Neck CalorPak stay hot?

When properly heated and wrapped in towels, it provides therapeutic moist heat for up to 30 minutes.

Can it remain in the hydrocollator tank between treatments?

Yes. The pack may remain in the hydrocollator tank indefinitely, provided water temperature (approximately 160°F / 71°C) and water levels are properly maintained.

Do I need to soak the pack before first use?

Yes. Soak the pack for 16–20 hours before initial heating to allow it to fully absorb water.

Can this be used at home without a hydrocollator?

Yes. It can be heated using water immersion methods such as a microwave-safe container or stovetop heating. The pack must always be fully immersed in water and never heated dry.

Can I apply the pack directly to the skin?

No. Always wrap the heated pack in a towel or terry cloth cover before applying to the neck or shoulder to prevent burns.

What causes a moist heat pack to develop an odor?

Odor is typically related to hydrocollator water maintenance. Regular water changes and proper tank cleaning help prevent odor from developing.

How often should hydrocollator water be changed?

Water should be changed every 2–4 weeks, or sooner if it becomes cloudy or develops odor. High-volume clinics may benefit from more frequent water changes.

What warranty does the Neck CalorPak™ include?

The CalorDerm CalorPak™ Neck includes a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when used according to proper heating guidelines.
