Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Hypervolt 2 powerful enough for serious muscle recovery, or do I need the Hypervolt 2 Pro?
For most people, the Hypervolt 2 is more than powerful enough. It has a 60W high-torque motor and three speeds that work well for warm-ups, cooldowns, and deep tissue work on large muscle groups. If you’re a high-level athlete, heavy user, or clinic looking for maximum power, the Hypervolt 2 Pro is the better choice, but the Hypervolt 2 is ideal for everyday recovery.
How is the Hypervolt 2 different from the original Hypervolt massage gun?
The Hypervolt 2 has a more ergonomic handle, lighter overall weight, updated styling, and improved comfort compared to the original Hypervolt. It keeps the three speeds, QuietGlide® technology, and multiple head attachments, but feels easier to hold and use on hard-to-reach areas like the back and hips.
Should I buy the Hypervolt 2 or the smaller Hypervolt Go 2 for travel and gym use?
If portability is your number one priority, the Hypervolt Go 2 is smaller, lighter, and easier to throw into a gym bag or carry-on. If you want more versatility, extra attachments, and smart Bluetooth features for guided routines, the Hypervolt 2 is the better all-round choice for home and gym use.
Is the Hypervolt 2 quiet enough to use while watching TV or relaxing in the evening?
Yes. Thanks to QuietGlide® technology, the Hypervolt 2 is impressively quiet for a percussion massage gun. Most users can comfortably use it while watching TV, listening to music, or winding down at the end of the day without it being too loud.
How long does the battery last on the Hypervolt 2 during normal use?
The Hypervolt 2 offers up to 3 hours of use on a full charge, depending on the speed setting and how frequently you use it. For most people, that translates to several days or even weeks of use before needing to recharge.
What muscle groups can I treat with the Hypervolt 2?
You can use the Hypervolt 2 on legs, glutes, back, calves, hamstrings, quads, shoulders, arms, and feet. The different head attachments let you switch from larger muscle groups to more targeted areas like forearms or calves. Avoid bony areas and follow recommended guidelines if you have medical conditions.
Is the Hypervolt 2 a good option for older adults or people returning to exercise?
Yes, the Hypervolt 2 can be a good fit for older adults or people easing back into activity when used on lower speeds and with softer attachments. It’s best to start gently, avoid sensitive areas, and consult a healthcare professional if you have any medical concerns before adding percussion therapy to your routine.
Can clinics and therapists use the Hypervolt 2 in a professional setting?
Many physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and trainers use the Hypervolt 2 in their practice for warm-ups, muscle activation, and post-treatment recovery. It offers a great balance of power and comfort for multi-patient use, though some clinics may still prefer the Hypervolt 2 Pro for maximum output.
How do the five Hypervolt 2 attachments change the way the massage feels?
The fork head is great for areas like the calves or alongside the spine, the ball head works well on larger muscle groups, the cushion head is ideal for sensitive spots, the flat head offers broad, firm pressure, and the bullet head is best for precise trigger points. Swapping attachments makes it easy to customize each treatment.
How often can I safely use the Hypervolt 2 on sore muscles?
Most users can safely use the Hypervolt 2 on a muscle group for 30 seconds to 2 minutes at a time, once or twice per day as needed. It’s a good idea to start with shorter sessions on a lower speed and gradually build up as your body adapts.
