Description

Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support

The Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support is an adjustable forearm strap designed for medial elbow and upper forearm support. It applies pressure around the forearm muscle group to help reduce vibration and stress during activity.

Although it is called a golfer’s elbow support, it is not only for golfers. It may also be useful for people who perform repeated gripping, lifting, tool use, racquet sports, fitness training or work tasks that load the forearm.

Designed for golfer’s elbow and repetitive forearm strain

Golfer’s elbow is usually felt around the inside of the elbow and upper forearm. This support helps apply adjustable compression below the elbow while still allowing normal elbow movement during sport, work and daily activity.

Developed with sports medicine input from The Mayo Clinic®

The Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support was developed in cooperation with sports medical professionals at The Mayo Clinic®. This helps support Cho-Pat’s long-standing focus on practical support products for active patients, athletes and everyday users.

Golfer’s elbow vs tennis elbow

Golfer’s elbow is usually felt on the inside of the elbow, while tennis elbow is usually felt on the outside of the elbow. Some basic forearm straps are marketed for both conditions, but Cho-Pat separates the golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow supports because they are designed for different sides of the elbow and different forearm tendon groups.

Click on the question to reveal the answer!
What is the Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support used for?

The Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support is used to provide adjustable upper forearm support for golfer’s elbow, also called medial elbow discomfort. It may help reduce vibration and stress through the forearm muscle group during golf, gripping, lifting, work tasks and repetitive arm activity.

Can I use the Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support for a sore elbow from golf or hockey?

Yes. The Cho-Pat Golfer’s Elbow Support may be used for activity-related medial elbow and upper forearm discomfort from golf, hockey, gripping, lifting or other repetitive arm movements. It is most suitable when discomfort is around the inside of the elbow or upper forearm. If pain is mainly on the outside of the elbow, a tennis elbow support may be more appropriate.

Where is golfer’s elbow pain usually felt?

Golfer’s elbow is usually felt around the inside of the elbow and upper forearm. People may notice discomfort when gripping, swinging a golf club, lifting, using tools, shooting a hockey puck or doing repeated wrist and forearm movements.

What is the difference between golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow?

Golfer’s elbow is usually felt on the inside of the elbow, while tennis elbow is usually felt on the outside of the elbow. Golfer’s elbow is commonly linked with the forearm muscles used for gripping and wrist flexion, while tennis elbow is commonly linked with the forearm muscles used for wrist extension and gripping.

Why does Cho-Pat make separate tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow supports?

Some basic forearm straps are marketed for both tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow, but Cho-Pat offers separate models because the conditions affect different sides of the elbow. The golfer’s elbow support is a sized strap for medial forearm support, while the current Cho-Pat tennis elbow strap uses a one-size-fits-most targeted pressure pad design.
