CalorDerm IceFlow Pro Cold & Compression Therapy Unit
The CalorDerm IceFlow Pro is a premium cold and compression therapy unit designed to circulate chilled water through a connected therapy pad while also providing adjustable compression.
It may be used for post-operative recovery, injury management, swelling control, and comfort during rehabilitation. As a result, it is a strong option for customers looking for a more advanced recovery system than a cold-only therapy machine.
This main unit page includes the IceFlow Pro cold and compression therapy unit, three-way hose assembly, medical-grade power supply, and carrying/storage bag.
However, a compatible CalorDerm Pro cold-compression therapy pad is required for use. Therapy pads are sold separately or available in select bundles.
Available from a Canadian supplier
CalorDerm products are distributed in Canada by The Physio Store. In addition, Canadian product support, replacement pads, hoses, accessories, and downloadable instructions are available for customers, clinics, hospitals, and rehabilitation providers.
Cold Therapy Plus Compression
The IceFlow Pro is designed for users who want more than circulating cold water alone. It combines cold therapy with adjustable intermittent compression in one compact recovery unit.
Cold therapy may help reduce pain, swelling, and discomfort after injury, physical activity, or post-operative recovery. In addition, compression may help support swelling management when used as directed by a healthcare provider.

- Five pressure settings: 0, 15, 35, 55, and 75 mmHg

- Real-time water temperature display in Celsius
- Adjustable water flow settings for comfort and cooling control

A Step Ahead of Cold-Only Therapy Machines
Many cold therapy machines circulate ice water through a therapy pad. However, the CalorDerm IceFlow Pro adds compression therapy to help support more advanced recovery needs.
For example, the IceFlow Pro allows the user to adjust cold water flow, compression pressure, compression mode, and treatment time. Therefore, the unit gives users and clinicians more control than a basic ice therapy cooler.

- Cold therapy and compression therapy in one recovery unit
- Rechargeable battery for cordless use after charging
- Real-time temperature display
- Adjustable L1 to L4 flow settings
- Adjustable pressure settings from 0 to 75 mmHg

Common Uses for Cold and Compression Therapy
The IceFlow Pro may be used as part of a healthcare-guided recovery plan after orthopaedic surgery, joint injury, soft tissue irritation, swelling, or activity-related soreness.
In addition, cold and compression therapy is commonly used after procedures or injuries involving the knee, shoulder, ankle, foot, hip, back, elbow, wrist, hand, and calf when the correct compatible pad is used.
Use as directed by your healthcare provider
Cold and compression therapy should be used according to your healthcare provider’s instructions, especially after surgery.
Treatment time, compression level, pad placement, flow setting, and skin-check intervals may vary depending on your condition, surgery, circulation, sensation, and overall health.
Compatible Cold-Compression Pads
The IceFlow Pro uses compatible CalorDerm Pro cold-compression therapy pads. These pads are designed with a three-way hose connection for air, water flow out, and water return.
Because the IceFlow Pro provides both cold therapy and compression, it must be used only with compatible CalorDerm-approved Pro pads, hoses, chargers, and accessories.
Available pad options may include
- Knee cold-compression therapy pad
- Shoulder cold-compression therapy pad
- Ankle cold-compression therapy pad
- Hip cold-compression therapy pad
- Back cold-compression therapy pad
- Calf cold-compression therapy pad
- Elbow cold-compression therapy pad
- Wrist cold-compression therapy pad
- Hand cold-compression therapy pad
- Universal or multi-purpose cold-compression pad options
Three-way hose design
The IceFlow Pro pad connection uses three hose pathways: one for air compression, one for water flow out to the pad, and one for water return to the unit.
This design allows the system to deliver both circulating cold therapy and adjustable compression through compatible Pro therapy pads.
Carrying Bag Included
Organized storage between uses
The IceFlow Pro includes a carrying/storage bag designed to keep the cold and compression therapy unit, compatible pads, three-way hose assembly, power supply, and accessories together.
This is helpful for home recovery, clinic use, travel between locations, and keeping the system organized when not in use.
Cooling Features and Time Settings

The IceFlow Pro includes a built-in rechargeable 12 V battery for cordless use after charging. This makes the system more convenient for home recovery, clinic use, and situations where a wall outlet is not close to the treatment area.

Do not run the pump dry
Always ensure there is enough water in the reservoir before operating the unit.
Running the pump without water may permanently damage the unit and may not be covered under warranty.
Cold and Compression Safety
Cold and compression therapy can be helpful when used properly. However, it must be used carefully.
Always use a cloth, sleeve, dressing, or suitable barrier between the therapy pad and the skin. Do not allow the therapy pad to rest directly on bare skin.
In addition, check the skin regularly during treatment. Stop use if irritation, numbness, excessive pressure, or unusual skin changes occur.
Important safety reminders
- Always use a suitable barrier between the therapy pad and skin.
- Do not use over broken skin, bleeding skin, open wounds, active infection, or irritated skin unless directed by a healthcare professional.
- Do not overtighten straps, wraps, or bandages over the pad.
- Start with lower pressure settings unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.
- Stop use if you experience numbness, severe discomfort, increased pain, unusual swelling, excessive redness, blistering, or unusual skin discolouration.
- Do not sleep while using the unit unless specifically instructed by a healthcare professional.
- Do not use this product without supervision if the user cannot communicate discomfort or cannot check their skin regularly.
Who Should Speak With a Healthcare Provider Before Use?
Consult a healthcare provider before using cold and compression therapy if you have poor circulation, diabetes, neuropathy, or reduced skin sensation.
You should also speak with a healthcare provider if you have Raynaud’s syndrome, cold hypersensitivity, a history of frostbite, vascular disease, a history of clotting disorders, deep vein thrombosis, or significant swelling disorders.
Also speak with your healthcare provider if you are unsure how long to use cold and compression therapy after surgery.
This is especially important if you are using the unit while taking medication that affects sensation, circulation, alertness, or bleeding risk.
Cleaning, Draining, and Storage
After use, empty all water from the reservoir. Then, wipe the reservoir and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth.
Allow all components to dry fully before storing. The therapy pad and hose should also be drained before storage or transport.
Finally, store the unit, pads, hose, power supply, and accessories in the included carrying/storage bag once everything is fully dry.
Usage and storage tips
- Use cubed ice, larger ice pieces, or frozen water bottles for best cooling performance.
- Use clean water only.
- Do not add chemicals, gels, salt, or other substances to the reservoir.
- Drain the therapy pad between uses when recommended.
- Some dripping during disconnection is normal.
- Unplug the unit before opening the lid, disconnecting parts, or cleaning.
