The Breg Polar Care Wave cold therapy machine is a motorized unit that combines cold therapy and compression. It is contained within a straightforward, quiet, and compact device. Optional anatomic pads, including knee, hip, shoulder, ankle, universal, and back pads are available to purchase separately. Add an optional Y-Adapter to use 2 pads at the same time.
The Breg Polar Care Wave is intended to treat post-surgical and acute injuries to reduce inflammation, edema, swelling, and pain where cold and compression are indicated. This machine can deliver continuous compression and cold therapy for a duration of up to 6 -8 hours before requiring the addition of more ice.

Breg’s Warranty Guarantees their Polar Care Vpulse/Wave Cold Therapy Systems For 3 Months.
Breg warrants to the first buyer who is the original end-user of the Product) that the Product shall be free of material defects resulting from inferior materials or poor workmanship for a period of 3 months of factual use.
If you receive a defective product or an incomplete order, CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY prompt action. Damaged or short shipments should be reported within 5 days of receipt. Please keep the box if you are contacting us about a damaged item.
Please send photos of the defect as well as any serial numbers (SN) on the product label to customerservice@physiostore.ca. We will communicate with you if the item(s) is/are eligible for replacement. If approved, we will provide you with a return shipping to send back the defective product, you will receive a replacement after the defective product is received.

5-Day Return Window. Returns are accepted within 5 days of delivery for items that remain new and unopened.
Unopened condition required. Security seals must remain intact and packaging must not be opened. Items must be returned in original, unused condition for full product credit.
All law labels, identification labels, instructions, and original packaging must remain attached and undamaged. Please pack returns carefully in a secondary shipping box to prevent damage in transit.
If an item is returned opened, used, or not in resellable condition, the return will not be accepted. You will be contacted regarding return shipping fees to have the item shipped back to you.
If we do not receive instructions regarding return shipment within 30 days, you authorize us to dispose of the item on your behalf.
International orders are final sale. Orders shipped outside of Canada are not eligible for return or exchange.

The pads can be acquired individually or as part of a comprehensive system. Additionally, there is an option to purchase a Y adaptor accessory, enabling the simultaneous use of two pads.

If you are a patient having bilateral total knee arthroplasty, consider a y-connector and a second knee pad so you can ice both knees at the same time.

- Regular = 50 mmHg average peak compression
- Low = 25 mmHg average peak compression
The Polar Care Wave has 2 Cold therapy settings
- Colder ≥ 45°F average operating temperature of the pad
- Cold ≥ 50°F average operating temperature of the pad
Warranty: Manufacturers warranty is 6 months on the cooler and pads.

This machine is very well made. It’s also very quiet. You can hear the pump running and the compressor as well but it certainly isn’t loud. I ordered the one with “Static Compression” and that option is a must in my opinion. There are 2 settings for coldness and 2 for compression and they’re both independent. You can use the cold and not compression or compression and not cold or both at the same time.
I’m using mine after a “Total Knee Replacement” and it’s been a huge help reducing inflammation/pain in the knee. I start with maximum cold and after I can feel the cold on my knee I turn the compression on the low setting. It feels like a gentle “hug” on my knee. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes, take it off and do my exercises. After my exercises, I put it back on for 15-20 minutes and my knee feels better after that.
The people I talked with at The Physiostore were so helpful and explained the different products they carry. I ordered the Breg Wave unit with the knee cold/compression pad. And I had it in a few days. All in all this was a great machine and I’m so glad I purchased it!
Excellent machine for recovery from total knee replacement surgery. Works as well as far more expensive alternatives, and is easy to use. Very satisfying experience.
