Tomland Medical Double Step Stool with Handrail
The Tomland Medical Double Step Stool with Handrail is designed for healthcare, clinic and home care settings where users need a more supportive way to step onto raised surfaces. It can help patients access medical examination couches, physiotherapy treatment tables, massage tables, therapy beds and other elevated surfaces more comfortably than a basic single step stool.
The two-step design creates a more gradual step-up, while the wider and deeper standing surfaces provide more room for foot placement. In addition, the side handrail gives users a point of balance support while stepping up, standing briefly, or stepping down.
Designed for clinic and home care access
- Helps users step onto and down from exam couches, treatment tables and beds
- Suitable for physiotherapy clinics, medical clinics, rehab settings and home care
- Two-step design creates a more gradual step-up than many single step stools
- Side handrail provides balance support while stepping up or down
- Wider and deeper step surfaces help improve confidence during use
- 150 kg maximum user weight capacity
Why Use a Double Step Stool?
A double step stool can be useful when a treatment table, medical bed or examination couch is difficult to access from floor level. The lower first step reduces the height of the initial step, while the second step brings the user closer to the raised surface.
This can be helpful for older adults, people recovering from surgery, patients with mobility limitations, or anyone who may feel less steady when stepping up onto a higher surface. It may also be useful in home care spaces when a wider step platform and balance rail are preferred over a basic household step stool.
Important handrail safety note
- The handrail is intended for balance support and protection only.
- The handrail should not be used to pull the body upward or to support the user’s full body weight.
- Patients with balance concerns, dizziness, weakness or higher fall risk should receive caregiver or clinician assistance.
- Always place the stool on a flat, dry and stable floor before use.
